No Weapon Found After Gun Call in Hospital Parking Lot
Woman arrested near Fox River Shopping Center on an emergency detention after she claimed she shot herself. The woman was not shot.
All is quiet again after a report that there was a woman with a gun Saturday afternoon at the Waukesha Memorial Hospital parking lot.
The woman was never inside the hospital, according to Sgt. John Konkol. Officers checked her residence on Mountain Avenue but she was not there.
The woman left the hospital area but contacted police to say she was near Walmart and that she had shot herself, according to Capt. Ron Oremus. However, the woman was not shot.
She then led police officers on a short pursuit before they conducted a traffic stop near the Fox Run Shopping Center.
The woman was taken into custody without incident on a emergency detention, Konkol said. No weapon was located. Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department’s Bearcat assisted police officers with the traffic stop.

Your story neglects to mention that the hospital was on lockdown.
Is that why this is "news"?? The stupidity of their reaction?
Obviously she did not have a gun; the police didn't find one. Even if she did, that's not illegal. It's not news.
Or do you think it's appropriate that a woman's medical problems should be told to the community?
