New Principal Hired for Central Middle School

New assistant principals are hired by the Waukesha School District for Butler and Horning middle schools

Christine Hedstrom, the district’s assistant superintendent for human resources, announced new administrators for three Waukesha schools at Wednesday night's School Board meeting. The appointments were made from within the district after a thorough interview process, Hedstrom said.

Rob Bennett was appointed as principal at Central Middle School, replacing Jeff Copson, who retires at the end of this year. Bennett, who has been in district since 1994, said he is looking forward to building on what others before him have done at Central.

Alan Busch, dean of students at Butler Middle School, will become assistant principal at Butler. He was hired this year and quickly established himself as a leader in that building, Hedstrom said.

Steve Fisher, recently the fine arts coordinator with the school district, was appointed as assistant principal at Horning Middle School. Hedstrom said Fisher holds two master degrees, music and educational leadership, and will be an asset to Horning.
