Man Threatens President Obama's Assassination, Killing 'Everyone' with Machete, Police Say
Waukesha man was taken into custody on a mental hold after he was throwing appliances out a second-floor window, according to a criminal complaint.
A Waukesha man who was throwing appliances out a second-story window on Park Avenue threatened to kill “everyone” with a machete, according to a criminal complaint.
Gerald T. Kribs, 50, was charged Monday in Waukesha County Circuit Court with disorderly conduct and possession of drug paraphernalia. He faces up to four years and four months in jail if convicted because he has previous convictions.
According to the criminal complaint:
The Waukesha Police Department was called to the 400 block of West Park Avenue at 12:23 a.m. Dec. 23 for a report that Kribs threw a TV, an air conditioner unit and a microwave out the second floor window.
Police spotted Kribs, who was yelling racial slurs and obscenities at the officers and a neighbor. As police made contact with Kribs, he yelled about the federal government watching him, that he wanted to assassinate President Barack Obama and that he wanted to kill himself and others in government.
Police knocked on the door, and Kribs told them they would have to shoot him because he had a machete and would kill everyone.
Eventually, Kribs surrendered without incident. Police located marijuana pipes in the residence and placed Kribs under arrest. When they placed Kribs in the squad car, he was recorded making statements about:
- Killing Iranians
- Blowing up abortion clinics
- Raping and eating children
- Killing the president
- A family member raping Kribs
Kribs was placed under a mental hold after it was determined by officers he was off his medication for about two weeks. Kribs will make his initial appearance in court on Feb. 11.

Just another typical Walkersha Republican. the plus side is the sheriff (in his little piece in the Freeman the other day) stands with this type of man having a gun. It's law enforcement like this that show why Republicanism leadership are just so smart. Heck, if this guy had a heroin needle with him at arrest time, I would surmise he was one of the illiterate goons with the stand with Walker signs on Bluemound road attacking innocent people trying to walk their dogs nearby with their only crime being the color of their skin.

Jerry, not sure you read the story, but guns were never mentioned. Sheriff Clark urged urged people to get firearm training and protect yourself and family. He never said anything about mentally ill people owning guns. You don't need a mental evaluation to buy a machete, or in your case, to make stupid comments on patch.

There was no mention of crack pipes. Obviously this man is in severe need of medical attention, not incarceration/fines.

I don't think he sounds like a Democrat at all. He is tossing out racial slurs, wants to kill the president, blow up abortion clinics, and kill Iranians and people in government. That doesn't sound like any Democrats I know. Mental illness is an unfortunate disease (no matter their political affiliation) and it's unfortunate more people don't take it seriously as they would any other illness. Also, if he was raped by a family member at some point in his life (probably as a child), this can also have profound affects on an individual if not dealt with appropriately and timely. Hopefully, once he is treated and is back on his medication, he can be placed somewhere where he can continue to get help adn not harm others, although with previous convictions and a drug habit, that may be difficult.
