Man Caught Selling Stolen Items on Craigslist

Investigators find Milwaukee man is selling items stolen from a Waukesha business for a friend, according to a criminal complaint.

A 32-year-old Milwaukee man is facing charges after he was caught allegedly selling items on Craigslist that were stolen from a Waukesha auto repair shop.

Lloyd D. Rodriguez was charged in Waukesha County Circuit Court on Aug. 21 with one count of receiving more than $2,500 in stolen property. If convicted, he faces up to 3 ½ years in prison and $10,000 in fines.

According to the criminal complaint:

On July 1, a burglary was reported at Fernandez Auto Service, 817 W. St. Paul Ave., when an employee came into work to find someone had stolen a $700 stereo out of a car along with more than $10,000 worth of rims, tools and computer parts from inside the business.

While investigators were looking into the burglary, they discovered Rodriguez was selling a set of rims on Craigslist that were stolen from the shop. Police interviewed him and he admitted to knowing the items were stolen, saying he was selling them for a friend.

Rodriguez is currently being held in Waukesha County Jail on a $5,000 signature bond.

Surprising that more stuff wasn't stolen when my friend took her car there there we drove by and they (Fernandez) left the keys in the ignition and her windows rolled down over the weekend...maybe they should pay more attention to what they are doing and lock the doors.

Or maybe they left the car like this to make it easier for their accomplice[s] to complete the "job"???
