Jail Inmate Charged After Trying to Strangle Self
Inmate broke a Plexiglas camera cover after deputies removed his clothes when he tried to strangle himself after getting sentenced to five months in jail, according to complaint.
A Waukesha County Jail inmate is facing charges after he broke a Plexiglas camera cover after staff stopped him from strangling himself, according to a court document filed in Waukesha County Circuit Court.
According to the criminal complaint, on July 14, Kyle A. Mullins, 21, tried strangling himself with his own clothes while in the jail after he was sentenced to five months on a bail jumping charge.
Sheriff’s deputies went into a room where he was being held and then removed his clothes, which prompted Mullins to begin kicking and punching the Plexiglas camera cover until it broke, the complaint states.
Mullins is charged with one count of criminal damage to property and could face up to nine months in prison and $10,000 in fines for the incident.
