Historic Downtown Waukesha is in the heart of Waukesha where its residents and visitors play, dance, laugh, shop and dine. Downtown Waukesha is located near the Fox River and Frame Park, where visitors can spend their days riding paddle boats, fishing, playing volleyball, walking, biking or rollerblading on the 1.7-mile riverwalk loop and strolling through the formal gardens in Frame Park. Downtown Waukesha has shops and many dining options, including upscale restaurants, delis, cafes, diners, sloppy joes and more. Specialty shops line the streets, and you can find everything from clocks to pranks and from handbags to fine art.

Special treat: Downtown Waukesha's Freeman Friday Night Live has live music from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Fridays through the end of September. The concerts are spread across seven stages in the downtown area.

Many great restaurants with fun hiking and biking through beautiful Frame Park on the Fox River and downtown area. You must have a bag of popcorn from Poppin' on Broadway and chocolate from Allo Chocolat on Main Street!!
