Authorities Arrest Fugitive After 3 Years in Texas

Michael Mack is accused of punching his ex-girlfriend in 2009 while she was in the hospital.

A former Waukesha man who has been on the run from law enforcement in Wisconsin has been arrested in Texas, according to media reports in that state.

Michael Mack was featured on America’s Most Wanted after he was accused of punching his girlfriend while she bedridden at Waukesha Memorial Hospital  and setting a duplex on fire, according to the America’s Most Wanted story.

The woman shared her story in 2009 with WISN TV where she urged other women to get out of domestic abuse relationships.

Mack was charged in March 2009 with  multiple felonies, including arson, bail jumping and four counts of first-degree reckless endangerment, and misdemeanor battery.

The criminal complaint alleges that Mack punched his girlfriend in the face while she was at the hospital because of an issue with having fluid in her lungs.

Mack later called the woman and told her “it is over for you and your kids, (expletive),” the complaint states.

Mack left the woman’s children at her relatives home smelling like gasoline, the complaint states. Before they were dropped off at the relatives, Mack poured gasoline in their duplex in the 300 block of Darlene Drive and told the children he was going to “blow the house down,” the complaint states.

Four people were home in the other side of the house after the house caught on fire, the complaint states, but they were alerted to the fire by a neighbor.
