Editor's Note: This story has been updated after incorrect information was posted on Patch about the new principal because incorrect information was listed on the Waukesha West High School website.

With former Waukesha West High School Principal David Towers rapid departure from the school for “personal reasons,” David LaBorde has taken over as interim principal at the school, according to the superintendent's office.

LaBorde previously served as principal at New Berlin West High School. LaBorde retired in 2009, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The Waukesha School Board’s Human Resources Committee will review Towers’ resignations at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday and submit the resignation for full board approval at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the Lindholm Building, 222 Maple Ave.
