Catholic Memorial High School Associate Principal Patrick Farrell will retire after more than 40 years at the school, the school announced Friday.
Farrell, who will retire effective January 1, 2013, started at CMH as an English teacher in 1972 and for over four decades served as a teacher, coach, administrator and advocate for students. He now serves as associate principal for student life, and some of the families with whom he started are now on their third generation at the school.
Farrell plans to focus in his final semester and in retirement on CMH’s new Academic Resource Center and the soon-to-be established Learning Commons, ensuring its future success through philanthropy.
Community opportunities to recognize, thank and offer best wishes to Farrell will occur at Homecoming and various school and alumni events that will be announced. For more information on Catholic Memorial High School, see its website.
