Car Found in Fox River With No Occupants in Waukesha

Waukesha Police Department arrests two women after they are located in Pewaukee.

A car was found in the Fox River near the 100 block of Corrina Boulevard at 11:04 p.m. Monday, but no one was in the vehicle, according to the Waukesha Police Department call log.

The person who reported the car in the river and two others went into the water to search for the driver, but they were unsuccessful. The and searched the area and requested the Dive Team from the Town of Delafield, which they ultimately did not use because of limited visibility, according to an e-mail sent from Battalion Chief Joe Hoffman.

Two firefighters wearing cold water rescue suits searched the vehicle and did not find anyone. removed the vehicle from the river, the e-mail states.

Police located a wallet in the vehicle from one female and it was reported there was another female with her. Police checked area bars, gas stations and Hebron House of Hospitality in their search for the two females.

The two women were arrested by the police after one of their father’s contacted police and gave their location to authorities. They were arrested around 1:30 a.m. Tuesday in Pewaukee.

The woman are suspected heroin addicts and officers believe that contributed to Monday night’s incident, according to police.
