When the Waukesha Police Department received accreditation last year, it was with the hard work of Capt. Chris Connolly.
Connolly was honored Monday night as the 2011 Elks Officer of the Year.
“He received this award for his project management of the accreditation project,” Police Chief Russell Jack said in an email announcing the award. “Without his dedication, tenacity, hard work and leadership, this project would not have been accomplished.”
