2 Candlelight Vigils Planned for Nani Negron [UPDATED]

Friends and family members will gather at Frame Park on Wednesday to mourn Shanel 'Nani' Negron, a Waukesha woman who was fatally shot on Monday.

Editor's note: This was updated at noon Wednesday with information about the vigil at Carroll University.

A candlelight vigil is planned for the friends and family members of Shanel ‘Nani’ Negron at Frame Park at 8 p.m. Wednesday.

Negron, a 24-year-old Waukesha mother, was tragically killed Monday at Summit Avenue and Moreland Boulevard. Waukesha police continue to search for the homicide suspect, who they have identified as Eddie Callaway.

A second vigil will be held at 8 p.m. Monday at Carroll University on the Main Lawn. Negron worked for Chartwells, Carroll University's food service provider.

Participants are asked to wear red at that vigil. If it rains, the vigil will be held in the main dining area.
