This time around, it wasn't even close.

After defeating the Arrowhead Red by a relatively close 9-6 score in a state semifinal game on Wednesday, the Brookfield girls lacrosse team had no problem trouncing Verona in the Saturday's championship game.

The team, made up of players from Brookfield Central, Brookfield East and Divine Savior Holy Angels high schools, defeated Verona, 14-6, at Perkins Stadium at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater to take the high school title.
