Waukesha State Bank’s employee volunteer group, Helping Hearts, recently delivered teddy bears to the Waukesha Fire Department that will be used to comfort children when they respond to accidents or other emergency situations. New bears are kept in the fire department’s rigs and are given to children who are involved in a traumatic event, and the bear typically comforts and quiets the children.
In what has become an annual event, employees dressed 25 bears in a variety of costumes, including ballerinas, cheerleaders and sports figures.
Helping Hearts of Waukesha State Bank is an employee-run volunteer group, organizing multiple volunteer projects and community service opportunities for Bank employees throughout the year.
