Suspect Still At Large in Associated Bank Robbery

Waukesha police are looking for a man who robbed Associated Bank on Sunset Drive Wednesday afternoon.
According to police:
A man entered the bank at 1270 W. Sunset Dr., at 1:27 p.m. and implied that he had a weapon. After obtaining an undisclosed amount of cash, he left the building.
Waukesha police searched surrounding area with the help of the county's K9 unit, but had not located the suspect as of 5 p.m. Wednesday.
The suspect is a white or Hispanic, between the ages of 28 to 35, between 6 feet to 6 feet 3 inches tall, and has several small tattoos beneath his right eye – possibly stars.
The suspect was wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans (See photos with story).
One person who was in the bank at the time of the robbery told Patch that the man threatened to blow up the bank if he didn't get any money.
Bank employees were evacuated and sent to the Chili’s restaurant next door.

And Chili's is no longer on lockdown. We were allowed to leave the restaurant. The police department will be sending us more information later today about the robbery.

Locked down means that people in the building can't leave; locked up means to close/ lock the place, usually locked up infers to just being closed, and possably that no one is in there. You probably lock up your house every night. While a lock down is if someone is trying to come in that shouldn't.

Isn't that the idea to lock up your house so that it will be locked down if some unwanted miscreet would want to enter without permission? You lock up to lock down or are you locked down when you are locked up? This is confusing.

People need to calm with all the negatives bout these robberies. I kno its not good for our image but these can happen in any city. We ain't perfect, no city is. It's not like we r livn in Milwaukee

Waukesha is better than this. Crime is up in almost every category. Our bar should be much higher than a comparison to Milwaukee.

I agree with Aaron, Waukesha is better than this.
Benjamin seems to suggest that we not talk about it because it's not as bad as Milwaukee. He is right but we don't want to wait until it's too late to do anything about it. Keeping it up front and center and showing our concern will help to raise the bar on our expectations.

What good are cameras when there 10 feet in the air. Lower them to our level ad you could get better pics of faces. I have noticed this in most bank robberies. cant see the face cameras are to high. put them at 5 feet and have a better chance of capturing a better pic
