98th Assembly Primary Is Feb. 19

Special election for 98th assembly district, which includes portions of Waukesha, Sussex and Pewaukee, will be held April 2.

Gov. Scott Walker has called for the special election in the 98th Assembly District, a seat that is vacant because State Rep. Paul Farrow was elected to the 33rd Senate District on Dec. 4.

The election will be held April 2. If a primary election is necessary, it will be held Feb. 19.

A news release from Gov. Scott Walker does not state when candidates can begin circulating nomination papers. The Government Accountability Board website had no information about nomination papers as of 4:35 p.m. Monday.

“The dates are chosen according to statute and will coincide with guidelines for general spring elections and will therefore also reduce the cost to taxpayers,” said Governor Walker.

Four Republican candidates have announced their intentions to run: Matt Morzy, Adam Neylon, Todd Greenwald and Jeanne Tarantino. Eric Prudent, who ran and lost against Farrow in November, is running as a Democrat.

I live in the 98th and there is ONE (1) candidate who is a small business owner, who worked for our great Congressman Sensenbrenner and works for our great Assembly Speaker Pro Tempore......ADAM NEYLON. The way to go!

The Pope's blessing. Can't get elected if you don't kiss the ring.

Keith, why don't you let everyone know that you work for Neylon and that you are the person who leaked privileged information to uber-liberal Daniel Bice at the Journal Sentinel about Tarantino? You are also using the name Paul Ryan Rocks on that jsonline story. What a coward and a horrible example of a conservative you and Neylon are for doing that to a competing candidate. It is neanderthals like you that set our party back a hundred years. I hope you get blackballed out of the GOP when people realize how bad you made Walker and Kleefisch look. Please do not elect Keith Best for the Waukesha GOP position that he is slobbering all over to get.

5 candidates for a state office and not one has a voting record as an elected official.

There had better be some clear cut position statements from any candidate to win my vote.

I don't vote for a candidate based on coat tail relationships. In fact I find that a reason to be skeptical.

Steve,
Fair enough.
Go to www.adamneylon.com to see his position statements. I'm sure he would be willing to listen to your concerns.
