New Years Eve has always been a time for celebration and excess. Year after year, people stay up all night waiting for the ball to drop before signing Auld Lang Syne and contemplating their resolutions for the coming year.

Rock The Clock

First Assembly of God, 1314 S. Grand Ave.

In addition to video games and music, this year Rock The Clock includes a question and answer session with Jake Luhrs, lead singer of nationally known metal band, August Burns Red.

The doors open at 7:30 p.m. and the music starts at 8 p.m. For those looking for a safe place to ring in the New Year, swing by First Assembly of God and rock the clock. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. Last year more than 300 tickets were sold.

The event is all ages but is geared towards high school students.
