Waukesha house fire causes $100,000 in damage:

A house fire broke out in an upstairs bedroom at 125 N. Charles St. around 5:13 p.m. Tuesday and caused around $100,000 worth of damage to the house, Battalion Chief  Dick Neustaedter said.

No injuries were reported during the fire, which brought a response from four of the five fire stations.

Extensive smoke damage reported after People's Park fire:

The downtown businesses surrounding People’s Park are devastated over the fire and want to help out owners Dan and Jim Taylor bounce back, said Lynn Gaffey, owner of neighboring Almont Gallery.

“We will all be there to help them to do what we can,” she said. “We are a real family orientated community down here.”

Block after block, dozens of people stumbled through knee-deep snow with shovels and snowblowers attempting to clear the massive amount of snow.

As expected, while the adults diligently worked to clear walking paths, children enjoyed the snow day in the best way possible, playing in the snow.

Woman reports being flashed while in Waukesha:

It probably wasn’t the walk she expected.

A woman reported to the Waukesha Police Department at 5:38 p.m. Saturday that she was walking down the street when a male passenger in a passing vehicle “mooned” her at West Newhall and South West avenues.

Waukesha South grad among those siding with Tea Party in Madison:

Members of the Tea Party are descending on the Capitol building to stage counter-protests to the demonstrations by Wisconsin union workers,

Josh Carter, a 2007 Waukesha South High School graduate who was instrumental in helping the local Waukesha Tea Party organization begin, is just one of the people who will be standing to support Gov. Scott Walker and his budget repair bill.
