Waukesha Public Library's Children's Summer Reading Club
DREAM BIG, READ!
Don’t miss the free summer fun at Waukesha Public Library! Join nearly 3,000 Waukesha children who are enjoying the summer library club, “Dream Big Read!” Children can earn rewards for their summer reading and keep up the skills learned during the school year.
The reading club runs through August 4. Sign up in the Children’s Department at Waukesha Public Library and, while there, pick up a brochure listing all the fun activities at the Library this summer. Summer Waukesha Public Library hours are:
Monday-Thursday: 9 a.m. - 9 p.m.
Friday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Reading during the summer helps children remember what they learned the year before. Research shows
that reading as few as eight books a summer stops the summer slide. Those eight books create a “bridge” between June and September.
