Waukesha North Teen and Local Author to Appear on The Morning Blend

17 year-old Waukesha North High School student/illustrator, Collin Richter, and local author, Allison Schley will appear on TMJ4's Morning Blend on Wednesday, January 30th to promote their new children's book, "Forever Friends".  The book teaches compassion for children and animals with hearing loss, a subject of great importance to both Richter and Schley. Richter, an award-winning artist who has had his artwork both commissioned and sold, dedicated his work on the book to his sister, Becca Richter, a local singer/songwriter who was born with a paritial hearing loss. (See BeccaRichter.com)  Schley has worked in the hearing loss field for over 20 years and is an advocate for families with hearing loss.  "Life in silence can be hard on both dogs and people," said Schley. "Many look down on people or dogs who are different."  This book, available on Amazon.com and on the 2Forever Friends website, shows how a deaf dog and deaf boy teach the world that all kids are good and being deaf is okay.  For more information visit http://www.2foreverfriends.com/index.html
