For the second year in a row, HAWS, the Humane Animal Welfare Society of Waukesha County, has received a generous donation from Taco John’s of Waukesha. The local restaurant recently presented the shelter with a check for $1,992.00, the result of their December “Nachos Navidad” promotion and sales of Christmas ornaments at the store at 317 N. Grand Ave.
Taco John’s Unit General Manager Dusty Stiefel noted, “The entire crew at Taco John’s worked very hard to make all the customers aware that we were raising money for HAWS. Our customers were a huge part of raising this money this year – we couldn’t have done it without them!”
“We are very honored to receive this amazing donation from Taco John’s,” said Lynn Olenik, HAWS’ Executive Director. “Support like this from our community means so much to us – and we have enjoyed all of our associations with Dusty and her staff. They are great friends to HAWS!”
