$5,000 GROCERY GIVEAWAY AT SENDIK’S TOWNE CENTRE TO INCLUDE 10,000 UNIT DONATION TO FOOD PANTRY OF WAUKESHA COUNTY

Phillips Edison & Company, owner of Sendik’s Towne Centre in Brookfield, will be sponsoring a $5,000 Grocery Giveaway Promotion at Sendik’s Fine Foods, 18985 West Capitol Drive Brookfield, during the month of August.

Beginning on Aug. 1, 2012, contest participants may enter to win the grand prize of $5,000 in gift cards to Sendik’s Fine Foods by completing an entry form located in a display in the Sendik’s Fine Foods main entry way during regular business hours, 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. CST.  A grand prize winner will be chosen at random on or around Sept. 1, 2012, and will receive one gift card per month for 12-month period totaling $5,000.

Sendik’s Fine Foods will match the number of contest entries received with a nonperishable food item donation to a maximum of 10,000 items. Nonperishable food items will be donated to Food Pantry of Waukesha County, an organization that provides food to more than 6,400
individuals in the area.

“Typically we see a sharp decline in donations during the summertime, yet many of the families we serve rely heavily upon our programs with kids out of school and not receiving discounted or free meals during the day," said Karen Tredwell, executive director of Food Pantry of Waukesha County. "This donation will have a significant impact on our summertime programs. ” 

“The idea behind the promotion is to support the businesses located within our shopping center, as well as the Waukesha County Food Pantry and the community it serves," said P. Ellen Prows, of Phillips Edison & Company.
